Make a Co-Worker Like You
by William Gorne, PhD
Do you have that one co-worker who you’d like to get to know, who you’d like to get romantically involved with but don’t know how to break the ice or who you got off on the wrong foot with and would like to make amends? I have the solution. Hack into their myfitnesspal app.
These days everyone is tracking calories. The co-worker in question is most likely tracking their calories in an app called myfitnesspal. If you are not familiar, it’s an app where you can enter all the foods you eat in a day and it will tell you how many calories you are consuming. Whatever your goal is, it’s a helpful tool in maintaining, losing or gaining weight.

I recently discovered a way to hack into my co-workers myfitnesspal account to see what they were eating. I used this as a way to get them to like me after we got off on the wrong foot. I became their savior. I found out what their favorite snack was through the myfitnesspal app and also found out what grocery store they went to using conversation. I then went to their grocery store and bought up all of their favorite snack so next time they went
to buy it the shelves were empty. A few days later I asked them, “Hey, you ever tried veggie chips?”. They told me how they love veggie chips but their store and all surrounding stores have been out of stock recently, which I already knew. “Hey, I’ve actually got a couple extra bags of veggie chips”. I made up a story... “my uncle gave them to me if you want them. He recieved them as a free gift from an online grocery food service. He doesn’t like them so he gave them to me. If you want them just let me know”. “Really? I’d appreciate that if you wouldn’t mind”, they replied. “Not at all, I’ll bring them in tomorrow”. I brought them in the next day and my co-worker was over the moon. By using this psychological hack you can get in your co-workers good graces.
