Tech Talk

An op-ed on technology by Jenny Dodge

Ever since I was a little baby I was attracted to technology. I always was attracted to wires and it makes sense because our brains our hard-wired just like technology. I quickly learned the computer as soon as my parents let me access their Dell computer when I was just a toddler. Here I am today, many years later, making a article about the latest technology including but not limited to Virtual Reality, Flying Drones, and the newest iPhones.

I know everything you need to know about technology and promise that this is information for everyone. Whether you are new to technology or an expert like me, this will be interesting and good information. I plan to talk about more technology too in more articles to come.

In today’s society it is no secret we need

technology more than we need air. My favorite technology is flying drones. When I leave my front door - I say to myself “phone, keys, drone”. This phrase, once known as “phone, keys wallet” is now obsolete because we all have apple iWallets on our iPhones. So I replaced wallet with drone.

I get angry and / or furious when someone tells me my drone is a toy. It is not a toy, it is tech. Some argue it is both but I think it is actually more of a tool. I use my drone as a tool for joy, fun and spy on my neighbor with camera.

Another piece of technology I like is virtual reality. I like to sit back and relax while I wear my VR oculus goggles. Those awesome goggles are not your average speedo brand goggles for swimming. They take you to whole new universes. Some times I wear my goggles,

open up a beer and box of pizza and “get lost” in all the right ways. This typically happens on Tuesday and Thursday nights and weekends.

Something else on my mind all the time is the newest iPhones. I hope that Appel comes out with something more interesting. My idea is they come up with holograms on the phones. We are all sick and tired of the touch screen - boring! Last time I found touch screen interesting I was in the year 2005. Give me something worth my time.

I hope you learned something from my article about tech. It’s all I have to say for now.

Signing off,

Jenny.
